Summary of Session
Next Generation Security Operation Centers are becoming a critical security component of any organization taking its security seriously in the light of the current threat landscape in the GCC region generally speaking and in Kuwait in particular, since over the past 5 years this landscape changed significantly which will require both our strategies and tactics employed in information security in general and security operation centers in particular to change as well to respond properly to the current threats.
Presenter Short Biography
Osama M. Hijji is a computer engineer with a total of 20 years of experience in Security Management in various areas including Banking, Health, IT, Telecom, and Military with oversight and insight in Security Governance/Risk/Compliance, IT Security, OT Security (mainly banking; ATMs, Phone Banking, Mobile Wallet, Mobile & Internet Banking, etc..), Cyber Security, Physical Security, Security Intelligence (Brand protection, attacks early warning, infiltration, etc..), Security Operation (SOCs, CERT, Incident Handling, etc..) & Security Inspection (Vulnerability Scanning, Pen. Testing, Code Reviews, war-gaming, red-teams, etc..) in local, multi-national, private & public sector firms/institutions. More and above Eng. Hijji has a significant experience in IT Enterprise & Service Management.
Eng. Hijji holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering from Arab Academy of Sciences & Technology (AAST). He is CISM, PMP, ITIL V2 Foundation, ITIL V3 Foundation, ITIL V3 Intermediate – SS, SO & CSI certified in addition to having over 40 Technical & business trainings including ISO9000, ISO20000, ISO27001, SAS-70, PCI-DSS, Process Management (Documentation & Auditing). He speaks fluent Arabic, English, French and can understand & manage with Italian.
